Michael Sheen to play to play legendary villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld
British actor Michael Sheen is set to sign up to the next James Bond movie – to play legendary villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld.
The Queen star is said to be in negotiations with 007 bosses to join Daniel Craig in the 23rd instalment in the superspy franchise, which is slated for release in 2011.
And Sheen will be taking on the role of bad guy Blofeld – the recurring character seen in six Bond films including From Russia with Love, You Only Live Twice and For Your Eyes Only.
The super-villain has been played by actors including late Kojak star Telly Savalas, who appeared in 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
