McG reveals possible plot for future Terminator…
McG has revealed that a minor pregnancy plot in Terminator Salvation could be key to the franchise’s future.
Speaking to MTV, the director said he bypassed many storylines from the third film in the series, Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines, for the new flick, with the exception of John Connor marrying Kate Brewster.
It is understood that despite claims future sequels will rely heavily on the last movie’s mention that Connor and Brewster’s offspring will become important to the resistance fighting the machines, this will be used as a form of foreshadowing only.
“That’s to be explored in the prospective second and third picture,” McG said. “Now, I would never be so bold to presume that there will be another [Terminator sequel].
“But we’ve arced out a story that includes that child and its fate and what it becomes in this world of man versus machine.”
