Max Landis Begins Casting Directorial Debut ME HIM HER

Indie will begin shooting this month.

Dustin Milligan (‘Shark Night 3D,’ ‘90210’), Aussie actor Luke Bracey (‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation,’ ‘Monte Carlo’) and Emily Meade (‘Trespass,’ ‘Young Adult’) have reportedly been cast in the sexually-charged indie ‘Me Him Her.’

Marking the directorial debut of ‘Chronicle’ screenwriter Max Landis, the Los Angeles-set tale explores sex, friendship and sword combat in what Landis has described as “the weirdest, most surreal way possible.”

Peter Saraf and Marc Turtletaub of Big Beach Films (‘The Kings of Summer,’ ‘Safety Not Guaranteed’) are backing the film with production set to commence next week in Los Angeles.

In related news, Landis recently took to Twitter to reveal that he is no longer involved with the ‘Chronicle’ sequel. The scribe had penned a draft for the film and while the studio liked it, the dark tone was an issue.

“I’ve been off Chronicle 2 for months now. Fox had a different direction they wanted to take the series.” Landis added “Ultimately, I’m just very grateful to Fox for making a film as close to my original script as Chronicle was. For making the film at all. So yeah it’s sad that as of right now I’m not involved in the sequel, and don’t know what it’s about even, but ultimately I can’t complain.”
