Matt Bomer to Play Montgomery Clift In Biopic

Bomer to portray Hollywood icon.

‘White Collar’ and ‘Magic Mike’ actor Matt Bomer has been cast as screen legend Montgomery Clift in the Larry Moss-directed biopic ‘Monty Clift,’ reports Deadline.

Expected to shoot early 2014 with Christopher Lovick providing the script, the film centres on the bisexual actor’s relationship with Elizabeth Taylor following the filming of their 1951 drama ‘A Place in the Sun.’ Clift, who at his prime rivalled Marlon Brando as Hollywood’s biggest male star, had his matinee idol good looks destroyed by a devastating car accident that left him with a broken nose and facial scars. Though he continued to make movies, the accident haunted him until his death, even though he received an Oscar nomination for one of his last performances in ‘Judgment At Nuremberg.’

Michael Din, Janine Giaime and Juri Henley-Cohn of Pier 3 Pictures will finance.
