Martin Scorsese Confirmed to THE SNOWMAN

Director confirmed for crime thriller adaptation.

THR reports that author Jo Nesbø and British production company Working Title Films have confirmed that Martin Scorsese is to direct the feature film adaptation of the Norwegian author’s global bestseller ‘The Snowman.’

Scribe Matthew Michael Carnahan (‘World War Z,’ ‘State of Play’) will pen the screenplay for the helmer. The bone-chilling novel follows Norwegian detective Harry Hole, an “anti-authoritarian, anti-sobriety cop,” who investigates gruesome and complex killings.

In ‘The Snowman,’ the seventh book in the Harry Hole franchise, a son finds his mother’s pink scarf wrapped around the neck of a ominous looking snowman. Hole realizes she is the latest victim of a serial killer.

Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title Films will produce with Nesbø and his literary agent Niclas Salomonsson on board as executive producers.
