Thriller finds new director and scribe.
According to Deadline, Martin Campbell (‘Green Lantern’) has stepped in to direct ‘Umbra,’ a conspiracy thriller that originally had Joe Carnahan (‘Grey,’ ‘The A-Team’) in the director’s chair.
The film centers on a business man who gets a mysterious package in the mail and gets caught up in a government conspiracy. Paul Haggis (‘The Next Three Days,’ ‘Crash’), who previously did rewrite work on Campbell’s ‘Casino Royale,’ has been brought in to rewrite the Steven Karczynski-penned script.
James Stern is producing with Hal Lieberman. Campbell’s production partner Lucienne Papon has also joined as producer. Production is set to begin in the spring
