Reboot of cult classic locks in director…

Deadline reports that British DJ-turned-filmmaker Mark Tonderai (‘House At The End of The Street,’ ‘Hush’) is stepping the behind the camera for a reboot of the George Romero classic ‘Day Of The Dead.’

Set years after a zombie plague has wiped out most of Earth’s population, a group of scientists and survivors attempt to find a cure, and instead open Pandora’s box. A modern-day retelling of the cult zombie film, the screenplay comes from Tonderai and Lars Jacobson.

The reboot is set up over at Millennium Films with Christa Campbell and Lati Grobman producing. Filming is set to get underway next Summer.
