LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN Headed To TV

Comic series to get small screen treatment.

It’s being reported that Fox TV has ordered a pilot based on Alan Moore and Kevin O’Neill’s multi-volume series ‘The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.’

An hour long drama, the show will chronicle “a group of Victorian age literary characters, including Captain Nemo, the Invisible Man, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, who team up to fight a common enemy.”

Michael Green (‘Green Lantern,’ ‘The River,’ ‘Kings,’ ‘Heroes’) is on board to serve as writer/executive producer/showrunner, with Erwin Stoff (‘The Matrix’) also serving as executive producer.

Stephen Norrington directed a big screen adaptation of Moore and O’Neill’s comic back in 2003 with Sean Connery, Peta Wilson, Stuart Townsend and Richard Roxburgh starring.
