Director set to tackle another novel by Nicholas Sparks.

Deadline reports that Lasse Hallstrom is in talks to direct an adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel ‘Safe Haven.’

The story follows “a young North Carolina woman named Katie, who is determined to avoid forming personal ties until a series of events draws her into two reluctant relationships. As she begins to fall in love, she struggles with a dark secret that still haunts and terrifies her.”

The director is no stranger to the author’s material, having previously helmed an adaptation of ‘Dear John’ starring Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried.
