Deadline has learned that Reel FX Animation Studios has enlisted screenwriter Cyrus Voris and Ethan Reiff (‘Robin Hood,’ ‘Kung Fu Panda,’ ‘Bulletproof Monk’) to pen the script for ‘W.I.S.H. Police.’
To be directed by Victor Maldonado, Adrian Garcia and Alfredo Torres of Spanish studio Headless Productions, the animated feature is based on an original short story by Daniel Nayeri and centres on the Imaginary Crimes Unit, a worldwide force of creatures who monitor the malevolent wishes people utter in moments of anger.
When a young boy gets jealous of his sister and wishes her out of his life, the W.I.S.H. Police are called in but the unit has its work cut out for them as this little brat made his wish on a star, while he blew out his birthday cake and held a four-leaf clover in his hand.Dallas-based Reel FX has the Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson-voiced buddy comedy animated ‘Free Birds’ arriving in Irish cinemas November 29th.
