Kristen Wiig

New additions for the Shira Piven-helmed feature.

It has been announced that Linda Cardellini (‘Return’), Jennifer Jason Leigh (‘The Spectacular Now’), Tim Robbins (‘Back to 1942’), Wes Bentley (‘The Hunger Games’), Joan Cusack (‘Toy Story 3’), James Marsden (‘2 Guns’), and Alan Tudyk (‘42’) are all set to co-star with ‘Bridesmaids’ star Kristen Wiig in the indie comedy ‘Welcome to Me.’

With Shira Piven attached to direct from a screenplay by Eliot Laurence, ‘Welcome to Me’ tells the story of Alice (Wiig), a woman who suffers from dissociative personality disorder. When Alice wins the lottery, she decides to invest it in an endless cable access talk show about herself, alienating her friends and family in the process.

Aaron L. Gilbert and Marina Grasic are on board to produce the film with Margot Hand co-producing for BRON Studios. Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Jessica Elbaum will produce via their Gary Sanchez Productions banner. Production is set to begin later this month.
