KNIGHT RIDER Reboot Hires ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT Scribe

Long-in-development reboot continues to move forward.

According to The LA Times, filmmaker Brad Copeland (‘Coffee Town’ ‘Arrested Development’) has been tapped to provide the script for a big screen reboot of popular 1980s TV show ‘Knight Rider.’

The series starred David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight, a crime fighter assisted by the Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT), a heavily modified Trans Am with numerous features including an extremely durable shell and frame, controlled by a computer with artificial intelligence.

Set up over at The Weinstein Company, the long-in-development reboot is being conceived as an action-oriented movie along the lines of the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise.
