Kate Beckinsale, Chloe Sevigny, and Whit Stillman Reteaming for LOVE & FRIENDSHIP

Film will shoot in Ireland later this month…

Kate Beckinsale, Chloe Sevigny, and Whit Stillman, who previously worked together on 1998’s ‘The Last Days Of Disco,’ are set to reunite for ‘Love & Friendship,’ a big screen take on the Jane Austen novella, ‘Lady Susan.’

“Set in the 1790s, ‘Love & Friendship’ concerns itself with beautiful widow Lady Susan Vernon (Beckinsale), who has come to the estate of her in-laws to wait out the colourful rumours about her dalliances circulating through polite society. Whilst ensconced there, she decides to secure a husband for herself and her rather reluctant debutante daughter, Frederica.”

Xavier Samuel (‘Fury’) also stars, playing the object of Lady Susan’s affections, with Stephen Fry playing the long-suffering husband to Lady Susan’s friend and confidante Alicia, portrayed by Sevigny.

Emma Greenwell, Tom Bennett, Jemma Redgrave, James Fleet, Morfydd Clark, and Justin Edwards round out the supporting cast.

Production is slated to begin later this month in Ireland.

‘Love & Friendship’ is being produced by Stillman, Katie Holly and Lauranne Bourrachot, and co-produced by Raymond van der Kaaij. The film has the backing of Westerly Films in association with the Irish Film Board, Blinder Films, Chic Films, Arte, the Netherlands Film Fund, and Revolver Films.
