Justin Timberlake Takes THE LAST DROP

Star in talks for romantic dramedy.

Justin Timberlake, who will next be seen on the big screen starring alongside Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams in ‘Trouble with the Curve,’ has entered into talks to take the male lead in ‘The Last Drop,” a romantic dramedy penned by Brandon and Phillip Murphy that appeared on last year’s Black List of unproduced screenplays.

‘Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist’ director Peter Sollett is on board to direct the tale of Clay, “a charming alcoholic who works as a restaurant critic for The New Yorker. When he falls for a young woman, he realizes he must overcome his self-destructive addiction in order to have a real chance with her.”

Kingsgate Films head Greg Shapiro (‘The Hurt Locker’) is producing, with Good Universe co-founders Nathan Kahane (‘Stranger than Fiction,’ ‘Juno’) and Joe Drake (‘The Evil Dead,’ ’30 Days of Night’) serving as exec producers.
