Jude Law (‘The Grand Budapest Hotel,’ ‘Dom Hemingway’) is reportedly set to star opposite Melissa McCarthy in writer-director Paul Feig’s next, ‘Susan Cooper.’
Described as a realistic comedy, the film follows McCarthy’s title character, a female James Bond-type spy. Further details are being kept under wraps.
Law’s fellow Brit Jason Statham (‘Homefront,’ ‘The Expendables’) and McCarthy’s ‘Bridesmaids’ co-star Rose Byrne are confirmed to also star.
Feig also produces, via his Feigco Entertainment banner. Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping of Chernin Entertainment, along with Jessie Henderson are co-producing. Daria Cercek of 20th Century Fox will oversee development.
