Judd Apatow (‘This Is 40,’ ‘Funny People,’ ‘The 40 Year Old Virgin’) has signed on to take the helm of Universal’s ‘Train Wreck,’ a comedy penned by and starring stand-up comedian/actress Amy Schumer.
According to THR, Schumer will be playing “a basket case who tries to rebuild her life, but still to be found are her boyfriend, a best friend/co-worker and a parent.”
Schumer, Apatow, and fellow producer Barry Mendel are meeting with potential actors for the supporting roles.
