Juan Carlos Fresnadillo Revives PET SEMATARY Remake

Horror remake moves forward with new director…

‘28 Weeks Later’ director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo has landed the job of directing Paramount’s long-gesting remake of the 1989 horror classic ‘Pet Sematary,’ reports Variety.

Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, the original followed a family that moves into a new home located next to a cemetery, only to discover that the cemetery has powers that allow the creatures buried in it to come back from the dead.

The script for the remake comes from Matt Greenberg (‘1408,’ ‘Reign Of Fire’) and David Kajganich (‘The Invasion,’ ‘Blood Creek’). Lorenzo di Bonaventura is on board to produce.
