Sony taps Trank to breathe life into adaptation.
Deadline has word that ‘Chronicle’ director Josh Trank has been handed the directing reins for Sony’s long-in-development live action adaptation of ‘Shadow of the Colossus.’
Released by Team ICO in 2006, ‘Shadows of the Colossus’ revolves around a young man named Wander who must travel across a cursed wasteland on horseback and defeat 16 creatures, known as the colossi, in order to restore the life of a girl.
Justin Marks (‘Hack/Slash,’ ‘Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li’) was previously attached to pen the screenplay but that is no longer the case as Deadline states that Sony is now interviewing potential writers to work with Trank on the project.
