Charlie Hunnam no longer linked to the cop drama…

Casey Affleck (‘Ain’t Them Bodies Saints’), Chiwetel Ejiofor (‘12 Years a Slave’), and Michael B. Jordan (‘Fruitvale Station’) are all reportedly in talks to star alongside Christoph Waltz and Cate Blanchett in John Hillcoat’s next, the Matt Cook-scripted crime thriller ‘Triple Nine.’

Set to film next year, the story revolves around “an L.A. heist in which a group of thieves plan to kill a cop (a “Code 999” in police parlance) to divert authorities from their own crime scene across town.”

Heat Vision hears that Affleck is “nearing a deal” to replace British actor Charlie Hunnam (‘Pacific Rim,’ ‘Sons of Anarchy’), who was initially lined up to play the cop.

Ejiofor is eyeing the role of the mastermind behind the robbery, while Jordan would be playing a street-wise cop who teams with the thieves to set up Affleck’s targeted officer.

Keith Redmon, Brad Dorros and Steve Golin of Anonymous Content are producing the movie with Megan Ellison on board to finance through her Panorama Media shingle.
