Cusack to star opposite Akerman in action thriller.
Variety reports that John Cusack has joined the Kasper Barfoed-directed action thriller ‘The Numbers Station.’
Cusack will be starring opposite Malin Akerman (‘Watchmen’) in a story that centers on a disgraced black-ops agent tasked with a dead-end job of protecting a code operator for an isolated covert CIA broadcast station. When the station comes under attack the two must fight for survival.
Danish director Barfoed (‘The Candidate’) will be helming from a script by F. Scott Frazier. Production is slated to begin mid-November.
