Actress offered one of the two female leads in the Philip K. Dick adaptation.
Variety reports that Jessica Biel is close to taking one of the two female leads in the Len Wiseman-directed ‘Total Recall’ reboot.
The female leads in the 1990 movie were played by Sharon Stone and Rachel Ticotin. Stone played Lori, Douglas Quaid’s wife. Ticotin played Melina, Quaid’s ally and former lover who helps him free the people of Mars.
Word was that Biel was going after Melina, but Variety says that there’s a chance she’s going after the role of Lori. Other actresses trying out for the roles include Eva Mendes, Kate Bosworth and Paula Patton.
The new movie will present a slightly different interpretation of the Philip K. Dick story, ‘We Can Remember It for You Wholesale.’
