Bateman rejoins adaptation.

THR has word that Jason Bateman (‘Arrested Development,’ ‘Horrible Bosses)’ is back on board to lead the Shawn Levy-directed ‘This Is Where I Leave You.’

Based on the novel of the same name by Jonthan Tropper, the dramedy tells the story of Judd Foxman (Bateman), a man who has sit Shiva with his gloriously dysfunctional family following the death of his father. Trapped in the house for seven days, longstanding grudges resurface and secrets are revealed.

Ari Graynor, Isla Fisher, Zoe Saldana, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead are rumoured to be in the mix for the role of Penny, the love interest that got away, while ‘Parks and Recreations’ actress Kathryn Hahn is being lined up for the role of Bateman’s wife, who has an affair with his boss.
