Chris Tucker may return for new film.
Deadline reports that Ice Cube is in talks with New Line Cinema to write, produce and star in another installment of the ‘Friday’ series.
Released in 1995, the first movie was penned by Ice Cube and DJ Pooh, and centered on Craig and Smokey, two pot-obsessed slackers. The film spawned two sequels and helped launch the acting career of Chris Tucker.
Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister, who played Deebo in ‘Friday,’ told TMZ that he is meeting with Cube and Tucker to talk ‘Friday 4’ saying, “This is gonna be the big one.” Mike Fleming over at Deadline is skeptical that Tucker would come back to play Smokey, referring to the fact that the actor refused to appear in the sequels for religious reasons.
