Horror Comedy LIFE AFTER BETH Teams Aubrey Plaza and John C. Reilly

Pair set to head up zombie comedy.

‘Parks and Recreations’ star Aubrey Plaza has announced that she is set to team up with John C. Reilly (‘Carnage’) for a zombie comedy titled ‘Life After Beth,’ a project that Plaza describes as “a really fucked up movie.”

While plot details have yet to be unveiled, the film is thought to be based on the 2010 UK short film of the same name by Mysterious Al, which has the following logline: “Domestic bliss, tenderness, heartbreak and the undead. ‘Life After Beth’ is a short observation of a couple subsisting together in London.”

The film will mark the directorial debut of Plaza’s boyfriend Jeff Baena (co-writer of ‘I Heart Huckabees’), who is helming from his own screenplay. Production is expected to kick off during Plaza’s hiatus from ‘Parks and Recreation’ in the spring.

Plaza will next be seen starring opposite Mark Duplass in the acclaimed indie hit ‘Safety Not Guaranteed,’ while Reilly will be heard voicing the title character of Disney’s upcoming animated adventure ‘Wreck it Ralph.’
