Harrison Ford to Play Wyatt Earp in BLACK HATS

Ford attached to play Wyatt Earp in new spin on the famous gunslinger.

THR reports that Harrison Ford has signed up for an adaptation of Max Allan Collins’ 2007 novel ‘Black Hats.’

The novel, which blends fact with fiction, is set during the Prohibition era and tells the story of an aging Wyatt Earp who is now making ends meet working as a private detective and movie consultant in Los Angeles. Earp travels to New York when the son of his late friend and compatriot Doc Holliday gets himself into trouble with a rising mobster by the name of Al Capone.

Scribe Kurt Johnstad (‘300,’ ‘300: The Battle of Artemisia’) has been tapped to pen the adaptation. Ford will be seen next in Jon Favreau’s sci-fi western ‘Cowboys & Aliens.’

‘Cowboys & Aliens’ will be one of a number of movies screening at Ireland’s new film event MOVIE FEST. For more details on MOVIE FEST visit www.Movies.ie/Fest
