Daniel Espinosa begins casting his thriller.
Tom Hardy and Noomi Rapace are said to be in negotiations for the Daniel Espinosa-directed thriller ‘Child 44.’
Adapted from Tom Rob Smith’s 2008 novel by Richard Price, the thriller is set in Stalinist Russia, and revolves around Leo Demidov, an officer in the secret police who finds himself demoted and exiled while investigating a series of child murders.
Hardy would be playing Demidov with Rapace taking the role of his emotionally estranged wife, Raisa.
The film will be directed by Swedish helmer Daniel Espinosa (‘Safe House’) with Ridley Scott’s Scott Free producing.
