‘True Grit’ actress to star in Lindsay Devlin revisionist take of the fairy tale.
Deadline is reporting that 14-year-old ‘True Grit’ actress; Hailee Steinfield is attached to ‘Sleeping Beauty.’
The movie, a re-imagining of the classic fairy tale, will be told from Beauty’s point of view, as she enters the dream world and has to navigate her way out. Lindsay Devlin’s screenplay is being packaged with the ‘True Grit’ star attached in order to go out to buyers.
There is already another version of ‘Sleeping Beauty’ called Maleficent, which is being scripted by Linda Woolverton (‘Alice in Wonderland’), with Tim Burton attached and rumors that Angelina Jolie coveted for the title role of the witch.
