‘Be Kind, Rewind’ helmer Michel Gondry has revealed that his next project is likely to be Return of The Ice Kid, based on his own forthcoming graphic novel.
The French director told reporters “I just wrote the comic book, so we have the subject matter and draft ready. It was a side project but I’m slowly moving towards it as my next film.
The film will be set at M.I.T in Boston. There, a group of students invent a form of water that makes you hear music when you drink it (how very Gondry).
Gondry also revealed that his proposed adaptation of Rudy Rucker’s novel ‘Master of Space and Time’ has been shelved for budgetary reasons, although he hasn’t given up hope of it happening sometime in the future.
