Judd Apatow Won’t Be Busting Ghosts in Ghostbusters 3
Despite rumours of his involvement Judd Apatow will not be producing Ghostbusters 3.
The rumours began earlier this week when Production Weekly claimed they’d obtained an official document with Apatow Productions being in charge of the up and coming Ghostbusters film.
In order to clear up the rumour the LA Times went directly to Sony Pictures and questioned them about Apatow’s possible involvement in the production of Ghostbusters 3.
“It’s not true,” says Doug Belgrad, president of Columbia Pictures. “We have some great new writers working on a new script, but Judd isn’t involved. Judging from the frenzy on the Internet, there still seems to be plenty of interest in the idea of doing another film, so we’re certainly taking that as a good sign.”
