‘On The Road’ and ‘TRON: Legacy’ star Garrett Hedlund has been cast as the lead in ‘Violent Talent,’ a crime drama that will mark the directorial debut of ‘World War Z’ screenwriter Matthew Michael Carnahan, says Deadline.
The film will co-star British actors Toby Kebbell (‘The East,’ ‘’Wrath of the Titans) and Riz Ahmed (‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist,’ ‘Four Lions’), and Australian actress Margot Robbie (‘The Wolf of Wall Street,’ ‘Neighbours’).
‘Violent Talent’ focuses on Eamon (Hedlund) as he and his two oldest friends Angel (Kebbell) and Quan (Ahmed) try to build a criminal empire in a contemporary Chicago where he feels crime might be the most honest job around.
Hedlund will next be seen starring alongside Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan and Justin Timberlake in Joel and Ethan Coen’s ‘Inside Llewyn Davis.’
