Young star signs up for British indie.
British actress Maisie Williams, best known for playing Arya Stark in ‘Game of Thrones,’ has been announced as the lead in ‘We Are Monsters,’ writer/director John Shackleton’s crowd sourced sci-fi film.
Williams will be playing Lorna, “a trouble schoolgirl and outsider, whose mysterious illness and over-bearing parents have always held her back. So when she meets a group of similarly outcast teenagers, Lorna impulsively runs away with them on a journey of self-discovery that will change her life forever. Together, their unique ailments mutate, endowing them with enhanced senses and exciting new powers. Spurred on to uncover their true identities, their journey leads them into conflict with powerful and mysterious figures within the ruling classes that control the military, the Police and the media.”
‘Hellboy’ and ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’ actor Doug Jones is attached to co-star, playing Lorna’s nemesis, the evil Sir Daniel Southall.
