‘Fast and Furious’ actress cast as super heroine…
Israeli actress and model Gal Gadot, best known for her role as Gisele in the ‘Fast and Furious’ series, has landed the role of Diana Prince, aka Amazon warrior princess Wonder Woman, in director Zack Synder’s eagerly awaited ‘Man of Steel’ sequel.
The confirmation of Gadot’s involvement comes via Variety, with a quote from Snyder himself:
“Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.”
Whether Gadot will have a significant role or a small cameo is unknown at this point.
Snyder and Warner Bros. will now turn their attention to casting the main villain, with Australian actor Callan Mulvey (‘300: Rise of the Empire,’ ‘Zero Dark Thirty’) reportedly on the studio’s wishlist.
