FRIGHT NIGHT Scribe Marti Noxon to Pen OUIJA

Board game adaptation lands new writer.

Heat Vision reports that screenwriter Marti Noxon (‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies,’ ‘Fright Night’) has been set the task of penning the screenplay for the supernatural family adventure adaptation of Hasbro’s board game ‘Ouija.’

‘TRON Legacy’ scribes Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz were originally attached to tackle the script, before being replaced by Evan Spiliotopoulos (‘Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure’).

‘Ouija’ is envisioned as “a family adventure in the tone of ‘The Mummy’ centering on a family who has to deal with otherworldly chaos that is unleashed.” The adaptation is currently without a studio after being dropped by Universal due to budgetary concerns.
