Emma Stone gives Spider-Man update

Emma Stone has given an update on the coming Spider-Man project.

The Easy A star opened up to MTV News about her preparation to tackle the part, including going back to blonde and learning about science.

Asked about the rehearsals process, she first reveals what came through her mind when she saw herself as a blonde again. “Today I went and did hair tests, because I have blonde hair now since Gwen has blonde hair. My natural hair is blonde, so it’s kind of nice,” she shares. “I looked in the mirror and said, ‘Oh my god, it’s me again, it’s been so long!’ “

“We’re finalizing the visual stuff. And I think we’ll start actually rehearsing, because we start shooting in two weeks,” continues the 22-year-old. “Andrew [Garfield] and I went and learned about science yesterday. Gwen really likes science, so we learned about science. I was home-schooled, so I never went to chemistry class in a traditional setting like Gwen is into. That was really beneficial.”

Speaking about fans’ reaction, Emma admits, “There’s a part of me that really wants to please people that love Spider-Man or Gwen Stacy and want her to be done justice.” She adds, “I hope they’ll give me license to interpret her my way. But that fan base, I’m one of them, so I completely understand why they would be judgmental of certain things.”

Finally the star went on to admit that her plans reunite with her “Superbad” co-star Jonah Hill in “21 Jump Street” are nolonger. During a chat for MTV’s Thankful Week, she stated, “I don’t think I’m going to be part of that, but Jonah is one of my favorite people in the entire world.”
