Oliver Stone’s adaptation of ‘Savages’ has landed Emile Hirsch (‘Milk,’ ‘Into the Wild’) for an unknown role, reports Variety.
Based on Don Winslow’s novel, the story centers on two Laguna Beach pot growers forced to work for the Mexican cartel after the girlfriend they casually share is kidnapped.
The fast-growing cast currently includes Aaron Johnson, Taylor Kitsch, Blake Lively, Salma Hayek, Benicio del Toro, John Travolta and Uma Thurman. Stone is directing from a script by Winslow and Shane Salerno.
