Dwayne Johnson Becomes THE FALL GUY

May team with McG for actioner.

Dwayne Johnson (‘Pain & Gain,’ ‘Fast & Furious 6’) is reportedly set to star in the long-in-the-works big screen take of Glen Larson’s 1980s cult action adventure series ‘The Fall Guy,’ with McG (‘We Are Marshall,’ ‘This Means War’) in talks to direct.

Running from 1981 to 1986, the series starred Lee Majors as Colt Seavers, a Hollywood stuntman who, with the help of his sidekick cousin and a female stunt actress (played by Douglas Barr and Heather Thomas), moonlights as a bounty hunter.

The suits in Hollywood have attempted to adapt the series to the big screen for a number of years now; the most recent incarnation teamed Martin Campbell (‘Casino Royale,’ ‘Edge of Darkness’) and Nicolas Cage.

Ashok Amritraj of Hyde Park Entertainment is on board to co-produce the film with Walter Parkes, Laurie MacDonald and WWE Studios chief Michael Luisi.
