You voted in the DIFFpix poll, and Dublin’s favourite movie has been chosen…

Over the past few weeks, DIFFpix asked you to vote for your favourite Dublin movie. The results are in, and the winner is THE COMMITMENTS! To celebrate this cinematic achievement and its popularity in Dublin, we will be showing a special screening of THE COMMITMENTS this Saturday, July 26th, in Smithfield Square as the first of many DIFFpix gigs. This is a free but ticketed event, with seats reserved for ticketholders.

There will be live music before the film to get audiences in the spirit of things, and refreshments provided at a discounted rate by Smithfield’s local business, all especially for DIFFpix.

As well as this, we will be hosting a competition on the night for audience members to win an iPad Mini and unique posters, specially designed for this event that represent our own unique take on the 12 short-listed iconic Irish films that featured in our Treasure Hunt.

There will also be a tropical after-party hosted by the Generator Hostel once the film has ended. With drink promotions, fantastic atmosphere and live DJs (courtesy of Dublin Tropical), the fun doesn’t end once the credits have rolled!

Thanks to everyone who voted.

The online voting and the lottery for tickets is now closed, but you can get your seats and join us to relive this cinematic moment outdoors at Smithfield Square by calling in to our New Head Office in 13 Lower Ormond Quay.

Our Box Office for this event only, will be open Thursday and Friday 12:00 to 16:00 and everyday we will have a number of invites available.
