Yet another project starring James Franco, does he ever sleep?
Variety reports that Heather Graham, Dev Patel and Lili Taylor are in negotiations to join James Franco in the upcoming indie drama ‘Cherry.’ The movie marks the directorial debut of Stephen Elliott, author of ‘The Adderall Diaries.’
The film follows a troubled 18-year-old who moves to San Francisco, where she enters the porn industry and becomes involved with a cocaine-addicted lawyer. Franco will play the lawyer and Graham (‘The Hangover’) is lined up to play a former porn star-turned-director who becomes obsessed with the young starlet.
Taylor (‘Factotum’) will play the teen’s alcoholic mother; while ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ actor Patel will play the girl’s best friend who’s in love with her. The troubled teen has yet to be cast.
Elliott penned the script with former porn starlet Lorelei Lee. Production is set to begin next month in San Francisco.
