Yates to direct comic book adaptation.
‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ director David Yates has been tapped by 20th Century Fox to take directing reins for an adaptation of writer Nathan Edmonson and artist Tonci Zonjic’s espionage comic ‘Who Is Jake Ellis?,’ according to Heat Vision.
The Image Comics title follows “Jon Moore, a former CIA analyst and mercenary spy on the run, protected only by the mysterious title character “Jake Ellis,” a man seemingly invisible to everyone except Jon, but who has a unique knowledge of tradecraft that Jon desperately needs.”
Peter Chernin will produce the adaptation through his Cherin Entertainment banner with Jason Young overseeing development for Fox. The filmmakers are now out to writers to tackle the script.
