The former Doctor Who tackles psychological thriller Retreat
David Tennant, Jason Isaacs and Thandie Newton have all signed on to the psychological thriller Retreat.
The film follows a couple (Isaacs and Newton) whose holiday is ruined when a half-dead man (Tennant) turns up on their doorstep and tells them a deadly virus is killing people on the mainland.
Producer Gary Sinyor told Screen Daily of the film: “It reminded me of Dead Calm when I first read it. Only better. It’s got a similar sexual tension but the battle of wits between the characters and plot twists are constantly surprising. We’re delighted to have secured three of the UK’s most powerful actors.”
Carl Tibbetts will make his directorial debut on the film from a script he co-wrote with Janice Hallett.
