Actor boards kidnapping drama.
Paul Dano (‘Ruby Sparks,’ ‘Looper’ ‘There Will Be Blood’) has joined Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal and Melissa Leo on the cast of Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming kidnap drama ‘Prisoners.’
Scripted by Aaron Guzikowski (‘Contraband’), the Black List screenplay revolves around a Keller Dover, a small-town carpenter whose six-year-old daughter and her friend are kidnapped. After the cops fail to find them, Dover takes the law into his own hands but in the process runs up against Detective Loki (Gyllenhaal), the big-city detective assigned to the case.
Production is scheduled to begin in early 2013 with an autumn 2013 release being eyed.
