Dakota Fanning to join Kristen Stewart in ‘The Runaways’
Dakota Fanning has been tapped to play Cheri Currie in The Runaways, a biopic of the ’70s girl band who launched the career of Joan Jett.
Twilight star Kristen Stewart has already been cast as Joan Jett in the movie, which will begin production this spring.
Currie became the Runaways’s lead singer at the age of 15 but fell victim to the hard-partying rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle.
Fanning is also rumoured to be staring opposite Kristen Stewart in the upcoming Twilight sequel “New Moon”.
