The quirky genius that is Crispin Glover (‘Charlie’s Angels’) has taken a role in the upcoming Elmore Leonard adaptation, ‘Freaky Deaky.’
The movie, which recently underwent a major casting shakeup, follows a bomb squad officer who stumbles upon a plot by two former hippie activists. The activists plan to use their bomb-making skills to trick alcoholic hard-partying movie mogul Woody Ricks into handing over millions of dollars.
Glover will take the role of Ricks, a part previously linked to William H. Macy. He joins a cast that includes Billy Burke (‘Drive Angry,’ ‘Twilight Sage’), Christian Slater (‘Breaking In’), Michael Jai White (‘Black Dynamite’), Breanne Racano (‘Entourage’), Roger Bart, Bill Duke, Sabina Gadecki.
Show Blitz also reports that Tom Arnold is in talks to play Ricks’ brother.
