Craig Brewer to Direct GANGSTER PRINCESS OF BEVERLY HILLS

Drama based on the life of Gangster Princess Lisette Lee.

Paramount has tapped Craig Brewer (‘Footloose,’ ‘Black Snake Moan,’ ‘Hustle & Flow’) to write and direct the drama ‘Gangster Princess of Beverly Hills,’ says Deadline.

The drama is based on a 2012 Rolling Stone article by Sabrina Rubin Erdley about Lisette Lee, a 30-year-old drug mule who portrayed herself to be an heiress to the Samsung fortune, as well as an actress, singer and model. Lee was arrested in 2010 and sentenced to six years behind bars for her role in trafficking 500 pounds of pot into Ohio.

Erwin Stoff (‘Water for Elephants,’ ‘The Matrix’) is on board to produce.
