COP LAND to Get Small Screen Treatment

1997 crime drama headed to the small screen.

Deadline has word that American premium cable and satellite television channel Starz is developing a one-hour series based James Mangold’s critically well-received 1997 crime drama ‘Cop Land.’

Starring by Sylvester Stallone, Harvey Keitel, Ray Liotta, and Robert DeNiro, the film centred on the sheriff of a suburban New Jersey community populated by New York City policemen who slowly discovers the town is a front for mob connections and corruption.

Kathy Conrad and Adam Fields are on board to serve as executive producer alongside original writer/director Mangold, who will script the pilot with Bryan Goluboff (‘The Basketball Diaries, ‘In Treatment’).
