Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman Re-Team for PADDINGTON BEAR

Live-action/CGI feature will shoot this month.

Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman, who recently worked together on ‘The Railway Man,’ are set to reteam for the upcoming live-action/CGI film ‘Paddington,’ with Firth providing the voice of the titular marmalade sandwich loving bear.

A big screen take on Michael Bond’s beloved children’s character, the story follow the adventures of a curious bear from darkest Peru who arrives in the British capital lost and is adopted by a well-to-do family named Brown. His adoptive family name him after the place where they found him: London’s iconic Paddington train station.

THR adds that Kidman will take the role of an evil taxidermist out for revenge. Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters and Jim Broadbent are all attached to co-star.

Filming is expected to kick off this month with Paul King (‘Come Fly With Me,’ ‘The Mighty Boosh’) behind the camera. The project is fully financed by StudioCanal with David Heyman producing.
