Clint Eastwood Has AMERICAN SNIPER In His Sights

Bradley Cooper remains attached to star.

Clint Eastwood is reportedly stepping in to take over directing duties on ‘American Sniper,’ replacing Steven Spielberg who withdrew from the project earlier this month.

Set up as a starring vehicle for Bradley Cooper, the film is based on Navy SEAL Chris Kyle’s bestselling autobiography and recounts how the Texas native came to record the highest number of sniper kills for an American.

Cooper will produce the film through his Warner Bros. based production company, 22nd & Indiana. There is no word on a production schedule.
