CINEMAGIC Festival call for Jurors

Calling all young film critics to be part of the Cinemagic Festival Jury!

Cinemagic International Film and Television Festival for Young People is recruiting a jury panel, of 6-7 year olds and 8-11 yr olds, to watch and judge a series of in-competition films during the Cinemagic under 12s Festival programme in Belfast this October.
Chris Shaw, Cinemagic Festival Programmer said “CineSeekers Jury members will play a key role in an international film festival deciding on the winning films of Cinemagic Belfast 2013. CineSeekers offers young people the chance to meet others with a similar passion for film, to discuss and debate, and to make new friends, whilst expanding their understanding of the different genres of film.”
The 6-7 year olds will meet on 5th and 6th October and the 8-11 year olds will meet on 12th and 13th October in Odeon Cinemas, Belfast, where they will enjoy a feast of film over two days and choose the winning films of the festival which will be announced at the annual Cinemagic Gala Awards ceremony on 28th November in Belfast City Hall.
The CineSeekers 6-7year olds will present the Emerald Star Award for Best Feature Film for a Children’s Audience and the CineSeekers 8-11 year olds will present the Golden Star Award for Best Feature Film for a Youth Audience.
