Christopher Kyle to Adapt SHADOW AND BONE

Scribe sought for young adult adaptation.

Heat Vision is reporting that ‘K-19: Widowmaker’ and ‘Alexander’ screenwriter Christopher Kyle is in negotiations with DreamWorks to pen an adaptation of Leigh Bardugo’s young adult fantasy novel ‘Shadow and Bone.’

Published June 2012 the novel is the first in a planned trilogy and follows a young woman who must learn to control her newly discovered power in order to save her country from the Shadow Fold, a creature-filled darkness that threatens to overrun the land.

The adaptation will be produced by David Heyman (‘Harry Potter’) and Jeffrey Clifford (‘Up in the Air’).
