Actor returns to the spy world for upcoming action thriller.
Pierce Brosnan (‘The Ghost Writer,’ ‘Die Another Day’) has signed up to join Owen Wilson in the John Erick Dowdle-directed action thriller ‘The Coup.’
Set to begin filming in October, the film focuses on an American family who move to Southeast Asia and find themselves entangled in a violent coup in which merciless rebels attack the city. Brosnan will play a “mysterious government operative.”
Crime Scene Pictures’ Adam Ripp and Rob Paris are financing and have teamed with Steve Alexander and Drew Dowdle to produce.
